Second, in the video we looked at in class (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu8HkOdn8kg), one of the commentators questioned hip hop as “a Black thing, a New York thing or a Caribbean thing” (paraphrase). What are your thoughts on this? Given the reading and the video, is hip hop a Black thing, a New York thing or a Caribbean thing? Or can it be all?
