Compare and contrast the goals, methods, and motivations of imperialism in the early modern period, the New Imperialism of the nineteenth century, the interwar period, and the Cold War. Your answer should address the goals and driving forces behind imperialism in each era, as well as draw a larger conclusion about the differences and similarities between the four different eras of imperialism we have studied. Focus especially on using primary sources to support your claims.
