Fast Food Association

Since the 1950’s fast food and dining at restaurants have been integrated into our American society. Of course dining out is not the sole cause of the obesity epidemic; however the frequency of dining along with lack of physical activity can be the bases of many chronic conditions. One responsibility of a health educator is to serve as an advocate.

As a health educator how will you garner support from restaurant associations in order to improve the menus and ingredients of restaurants? What other stakeholders would be influential in this matter? In addition to building support of the restaurants, how would the ecological perspective be incorporated into this solution?
